Our Story
It all started in Venice, California...they met at the Rose Cafe and danced the night away, although Lars loves to slyly look at Dylan when asked and say, "We met on Tinder". Lars' moves, although loved by some, were questionable to Dylan at first. They went on a few dates and quickly found they couldn't deny their overlapping similar interests including wine, overpriced breakfast burritos, and impromptu Sunday Fundays.
Lars, an avid Santa Monica strand rollerblader, would often think of Dylan on his weekend rides and eventually asked her to be a part of his "blade gang". Dylan was skeptical at first but ended up giving him a chance. They continued to date for the next two years, enjoying their time in LA but also traveling up and down the southern Californian coast from vineyards in Santa Barbara to ski trips in Mammoth and friend visits in San Diego. Eventually, Dylan moved in with Lars....and his 5 roommates. Although many would consider this a fairytale ending, their time in their overfilled Santa Monica house provided some of their most cherished memories.
After spending 5 years in LA for Dylan, and 3 for Lars, Dylan and Lars decided it was time to start a new chapter of their life together in Chicago, where their families eagerly awaited their arrival. They rented an apartment in the West Loop, raised a fur baby named Jojo, and are excited to make new memories in their new home. May 11th, 2024 can't come soon enough and they are thrilled to share their big day with all of you.....Dylan and Lars are getting married!!
